1960 DeArmond R15

"For those who insist on quality... as we do. DeArmond Musical Instrument Amplifiers. Rowe Industries. DeArmond amplifiers can be expected to faithfully project the instrument tones without false compensation."  --1960 DeArmond Amplifier catalog

Make and Model: DeArmond R15

Year: 1960. Output transformer code: 549941 (Midwest Coil and Transformer, 1959, 41st week), speaker code: 220017 (Jensen, 1960, 17th week)

Specifications: ~15 watts all tube circuitry, two 6V6 power tubes in push/pull configuration, 12" Jensen speaker

Originality: All parts original except the power cord! Check out all the important original parts including the output transformer, power transformer, all coupling capacitors, and speaker! This is exactly how I acquired the amp. I will be replacing the original cord with a new, properly grounded power cord as soon as the technician can get to it.

Condition: Excellent. This one has one of the best looking control panels I've seen on a DeArmond amplifier. It's very clean with original leather handle!

Playability: Excellent! This one is really loud with a very strong sounding original Jensen speaker.

NotesI'm very excited to have found another DeArmond R15! This one came to me, actually. It came to me via the second owner who's had it since the mid 1960s when his dad purchased it for him second hand. He played it sparingly while trying to learn to play his guitar but never really picked up on it. That may explain why it still has all its original tubes including those cool Amperex Bugle Boy 12AX7 preamp tubes. This is a very fine looking and playing example. I'm confident you'll love this clean 1960 DeArmond R15!
